AV Display Ltd Website

www.avdisplay.com

This specialist Audio Visual company wanted a site redesign (view graphic of old site) in-line with the professional tailored service they provide. A major selling point of AV Display over its competitors is its ability to source, supply and install systems that are carefully tailored to the individual requirements of a particular project. The new site needed to emphasise this personalised service and encourage site visitors to contact AV Display about their specific requirements.

Brief/Requirements

  • Redesign and build a company website incorporating existing branding and logo (with some flexibility in terms of logo style and colours).
  • Company is built on its personal service, therefore visitors need to be encouraged to make contact with AV Display either by phone or Email.
  • Provide value as a marketing tool while specifically avoiding selling individual products online.
  • Ability to track the success of site at an individual page level.

Outcome

  • Designed and developed an XHTML/CSS website separating style from content as much as possible to ensure future expansion of the site is quick and simple.
  • Some ECMA DOM JavaScript enhancements were included to allow inline scrollbars.
  • ECMA DOM Scripted random image rotator for manufacturer logos appearing along the bottom edge of the site.
  • Care was taken to ensure the site is still navigable with images switched off. Even the graphical scrollbars.
  • Case Studies were included to help convey the tailored and flexible nature of the service AV Display provides and the variety of projects they have worked on previously.
  • Graphic redesign in-line with the professional nature of the service the company provides. This included a change in colour scheme and a slight reworking of the existing company logo to give it a more contemporary feel. The new logo and color scheme has also been rolled out through the rest of the business.
  • Installed a PHP based site statistics area that allows the administrator to track individual page popularity, search engine interest and search terms used to find the site.
